Simpler naming for Bank Accounts
Posted by Wes Hooper on 22nd February 2010 in Updates
We've just put live an update to Moobiz which affects how Bank Accounts are named.
Before, you could type in your own name / description for an account and we found you all used this in different ways - it wasn't really clear what you'd put in here or even why. We also had an option to tick further down the form "This is a loan or mortgage" when setting up a bank account.
We gave it some thought and realised both these options were really asking the same question - what type of account is it?
Therefore, we've removed the name and "is it a loan?" options and replaced with a simple Type option.

This is also then used throughout Moobiz to describe the account along with the last 2 digits of the account number. We've automatically picked the correct Type for your existing accounts based on their name, defaulting to 'Current' if we couldn't be sure (this doesn't affect any functionality).
